Here are some examples:
"Love is like a violin. The music may stop now and then, but the strings remain forever."
"Love doesn't make the world go round, love is what the ride worthwhile."
"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Here are some quotes that I liked:
It's sort of hard to say what love is. Love is when you have a special feeling for someone. A person you always act different to than other people. Love is what makes you think about a certain person in a way that you don't act to other people.
ReplyDeleteThere really is no cut and dry answer for this. Mostly because there are many different types of love. You can love your friends, you can love your family, you could love your husband/wife, or your boyfriend/boyfriend, you could even love your pet.
ReplyDeleteI think that love means that you can trust that person absolutely and you can be yourself around them, and you wouldnt be scared of what they would think. If you love someone, you wouldnt judge them, and you would stick with them even through their phases and annoying habits and no matter how much you fight you would always be able to make up. I think that you would have to know someone for a long time to be able to build up trust for them (well at least I would). I think that real love isnt fickle, but it does fade eventually. For example, a couple that has been together for say... 50 years, their relationship is going to be different than when they were younger. I think that love fades into friendship. Until a partner would seem more like a companion, and a confident, rather then romantic love. Nothing really lasts forever, not even love. I dont think its possible to love a lot of people, because I think that people say that just for the sake of it (sometimes). Like middle school relationships (or even highschool), I dont think it is possible to go out with someone for a couple of days and sudddenly they are..."in love". Love is when you are willing to give up everything, like you would take a bullet for them. Love is kind of like an all or nothing predicament, it would be difficult and hard to maintain, but worth it. Personally, I think love is great if its real, but it is possible to do without it, you dont really need love like you need food, water, or air. But people search for it all the same.
Sorry, I made a mistake with my third sentance(first paragraph). I meant to say Boyfriend/girlfriend, not boyfriend/boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteAs Semhar said there are many different types of love. You can love your family, you can love your friends, but the type of love Rachel is probably talking about is; loving a person who makes you feel special when you are with them. My definition of love is; you only love someone when you can stay with them for the rest of your life. For me a marriage is a perfect example for love.
ReplyDeleteI think Nikki has a very good argument about Love. I mean, you can love your family and your friends because you are very close to them, but you dont love them in a way that you want to marry them, or that you want to be with them for your life. Marriage or having kids or living forever with someone is my example of love, but you never know where love will turn out, either good or bad.
ReplyDeleteI think that love is a sweet drug. You willingly taste it and you enjoy it in the beginning, but if you take too much it can destroy you. What I mean by this is that you can love a person too much to be separated to them. You don't want to say good-bye, even if the love is keeping you down. You long for that rush you got from kissing the first time, but you never get it. So you just keep waiting...
ReplyDeletePS. I'm not saying that all love is like this. But that it can take some time for you to find the right one.
Love is like a road. Things may go smoothly like it was just made, and there are other times where love is bumpy and you don't understand what has happened or what went wrong. Love stops time for you. Nothing else matters in the world and the only thing you focus on is that one person. Love also is 2 things, a positive road towards life, or a negative road towards life. Love can also be taken the wrong way and brought to a point where you may never love again. But then again, in a way love has no boundaries ( as long as it doesn't go the wrong way :). Love can also be like a disease. It takes over your body and your mind, telling and controlling you. But with the right antidote or treatment, you'll be just as good.
ReplyDeleteI made a slight mistake on the second to last sentence on the bottom. What I meant to say was Love is like a disease. I takes over your mind and body, by telling you what to do and say.
ReplyDeleteThe defintion of love in the dictionary is-
ReplyDelete1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
AND/OR
2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
My defintion of love is-
When you feel something for a person that you feel for a select few people. Were you would put your whole life in their hands. The feeling that you can never live without them and you would want to die if they did. You want to spend your whole life with them. Love dosnt just banish or go away it stays forever, you cant change the way you feel about them.
Quotes-
You are the sun in my day, the wind in my sky,
the waves in my ocean, and the beat in my heart.
Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of someone else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something.
Bella Swan, Twilight, Preface, p.1
"When you are in Love you can't fall asleep because reality is better than your dreams."
--Dr Seuss
LOVE IS many things. Love is different. It's in a league of its own, you could say. People search and search and search for it their whole lives, and some never find it. Love doesn't happen instantly. It's a growing emotion 2 people feel for eachother. It takes an instant to like somebody, but an eternity to find love. Sometimes, love grows on people, but it also can die out, I think. Love is a longterm goal that is set at the beginning of everybody's lives. There is always something everyone strives to seek before they die. For some, happiness, for some, money, for some, peace, for most, love.
ReplyDeleteSo basically, Love isn't an instant thing. It takes time to love. Love is a goal most people make. Some realize it, some don't, but love can always be sought for.
